When we are born, when we are in our grown-up, we are always being 'forced' to be excellent and to make our parents being proud of us. Before I saw the movie, I also hated my mom's consistant force on my career to be a public servant. I could not understand why she was so addicted to that job. Will that prove that she has educated an excellent child? !
After seeing the lonely father, I know! What do our parents really want??
Yes, they want us to be excellent, but it is not for their own sake. They just want to be sure that we will live a happy life in the future, even without them. Won't be mislead. Won't be hurt. Stay to our original dream.
The lonely father has done all his life to support his four children, even suffered from heart attack.
When asked what his dream is, his answer is -- to be a good father.... This is a father's answer! He is doing the best among all his four children's dreams!
And his love to his pass-away wife is unforegetable and touchable! I am moving into tears when the lonely father phoned to his own house (of course no one's answering the call), JUST wanted to hear the sound of his wife in the recorder... I would rather die if I meet a man who will memorize me like that!
What are we living on? On water? On food? On MEMORY....
