When a woman likes a man, she wants to hear lies; when a woman hates a man, she wants to hear the truth
Several couples, what happens when everyone puts their mobile phones on the table while eating? This is the story that this film is going to lead us to explore.... What will happen I said here, you already know what? Then.. why do you already know what happened, so I don't have to go to your heart to explore it.
After watching this film, I always have a feeling of déjà vu, and now I remember that the plot of this film is partly similar to the "Secrets and Lies" I wrote before. It is true that I am more interested in exploring people themselves, human nature, people and society than commercial blockbusters and various literary and artistic films. This stems from my own exploration of ourselves as a human being.
It is not the first time that a storyline like "Perfect Stranger" has appeared on the big screen. "Secrets and Lies" triggered a plot of a dinner party through a story with a plot, and everyone's emotions finally exploded. The same is the dining table, and last year's "Reception" was a similar story routine. Then this film is more like a concise aggregation of secrets and lies. Putting all the characters directly on the table, the plot unfolds, and it has more dramatic tension. Such a story is like a multi-person talk show. All the stories and character relationships must be brought out through a lot of dialogue. This way will make most audiences feel boring, so the director and screenwriter choose to add part of the funny comedy to Make adjustments so that the two-hour movie won't let the audience fall asleep. There are not a few films that constitute a film through dialogue and conversation, such as the well-known "This Man From Earth".
Is this movie good? Nice shot. A good script is enough, and the director knows what to do when he gets it. Is this movie good? Not good to shoot. In a house, how to tell the stories of several people clearly and connect them, and finally lead to more exciting content. Then this perfect stranger has a core, "mobile phone". Mobile phones are a symbol of modern society, and everyone in society will hold them in their hands or in their pockets. It has gradually developed from a personal communication tool to a multi-functional technology product that is convenient for people to buy things on the Internet and social media. It has also become everyone's privacy, which contains their own photos, videos, etc. ... The key to the development of this film is the mobile phone. What the director has to do is to make the originally happy dinner a disaster. When eating and eating, someone must propose to put the mobile phone on the table, whether others want it or not. Helplessly put it on the table, and then... everything happened like that~ "beep beep", the mobile phones rang one by one, I won't spoil the story of what happened. Interested friends, let's see for yourself, of course, everyone Guess. Derailment on both sides, extramarital affairs and other marital and emotional problems... Interestingly, the director also added homosexual characters, and then inexplicably made homosexuality correct (I don't discriminate against homosexuals, I only say that the film is a bit abrupt). Secondly, the phenomenon of the moon and lunar eclipse is referenced in the film, which should symbolize the hidden things in the dark under the human heart. The first accident was also caused when everyone took a photo under the lunar eclipse.
Basically, everyone in the film has secrets hidden under their mobile phones (except one person). Each of them has their own secrets, and these secrets are enough to destroy a relationship and a family. First of all, what I want to say is that as a mass media such as movies and TV series, more works are not responsible to the public, and convey a lot of negative and selfish thoughts. All kinds of bad seeds will slowly breed unhealthy and unpositive thoughts in everyone's heart, making them misleading and life being controlled by society. Secondly, everyone should be positive and optimistic about life, be honest with others, and be honest with those who love you and those you love. Be yourself, what's on your phone is up to you. The plot of a movie needs to be just a movie after all. Many domestic audiences do not have a deep understanding of the ability to appreciate movies, but are only swayed by the information conveyed on the surface. This is what I don’t want to see in this movie. After the couple fell out, several people helplessly bowed their heads in the room and murmured, "Humanity is fragile" said by the only man whose cell phone had no secret. Everyone hides more or less, serious or small secrets under their masks, things that only belong to themselves and do not want others to know. In fact, this is all people are protecting themselves. Regarding feelings, two people treat each other frankly, mutual tolerance and understanding are necessary in life, and the hidden things should also be to protect each other's feelings.
As for mobile phones and human nature, I don't think there is anything to say about the phenomenon that no one is not looking at their mobile phones when they take the subway and basically people can't live without their mobile phones. People are gradually losing their own self through technology and going downhill. Everyone cares about the breakup of celebrities on the Internet and even asking for justice for each other and spitting on each other. This kind of idleness has all kinds of leisure... Are you really at home with hundreds of millions of people who have nothing to do or are enthusiastic? The family of three in Beijing did not commit suicide, and the vast number of enthusiastic audiences were forced to turn back. I think it is better for everyone to go out and see the world, watch movies, listen to music, and experience life if they are interested in watching Douyin and swiping Weibo. Take care of your lover and family. Treating them more warmly and frankly is the best thing every "person" should do well. I still don't point fingers, I can't change anyone, I can only be myself.
Going back to the final ending of the film, the director used a common way of dealing with it, that is, to start all over again, everyone did not play the game, and everyone was hiding unknown secrets from the other party. The laughing people left together and continued to live under the "secret". I like this ending very much. This Perfect Stranger involves people's emotional and social issues. You can say that it is about marriage, or same-sex issues. It is more about the estrangement between people. I will talk about this topic through other topics. Film review dabbling. More on my thoughts on secrets and lies can be found in my book "Secrets and Lies: Everyone Has Unspeakable Pain", which I won't repeat here.
