this is life

This is life. When you can't find the meaning of life, try your best to do it. When you find the meaning of life, you find that life has pushed you to a desperate situation again. Everyone's social moral standards are different, but the ending of the movie must be the male lead's self-destruction, because this is the bottom line of social morality recognized by everyone, and no one has the right to take the lives of others. Here I am not disgusted by the actions of the male protagonist of this movie. On the other hand, I am very concerned about the behavior of the female protagonist. Since I have already empathized, why not admit it. Later, I found out that the male protagonist murdered for a joke, and I could not accept her boyfriend. It was the pressure of the murderer, threatening to report it. This is the most shameful thing to me, and I was worried that I would also bear this immoral black cauldron, so I began to choose to leave, and then went to the original boyfriend at the beginning, all kinds of self-blame Compromise and seek perfection just to reconcile, may I ask how you have changed? The ending of the movie should be that the male protagonist falls down with the female protagonist, perhaps even more so. . .

Irrational Man quotes

  • Jill: You know, Abe actually says that people just manufacture drama so they can get through their lives because they're so empty.

  • [first lines]

Abe: [narrating] Kant said human reason is troubled by questions that it cannot dismiss, but also cannot answer. Okay, so, what are we talking about here? Morality? Choice? The randomness of life? Aesthetics? Murder?

Jill: I think Abe was crazy from the beginning. Was it from stress? Was it anger? Was he disgusted by what he saw as life's never-ending suffering? Or was he simply bored by the meaninglessness of day-to-day existence? He was so damn interesting. And different. And a good talker. And he could always cloud the issue with words.

Abe: Where to begin? You know, the existentialists feel nothing happens until you hit absolute rock bottom. Well, let's say that when I went to teach at Braylin College, emotionally, I was at Zabriskie Point. Of course, my reputation, or should I say a reputation, preceded me.
