All about dreams - "GOAL!"

Written at 4:48am on July 2, 2006,

until the early morning of this day, I really watched the film "Goal!". To be exact, in the early morning of this day, I seriously watched it twice! The second time I read it, I was writing this article while I was reading it.

Santiago Mooney, a boy with dreams, a dream about football. I'm someone who can't find my dreams, I used to think we didn't need those unrealistic dreams, but Santiago told me that was wrong.

Perhaps, when his family entered the United States illegally, when he decided to retrieve the ball, it was destined for his life to be related to football.

His father was an ordinary man who simply supported his family and did not want his son to do unrealistic and risky things. His grandmother was an old lady with faith. Perhaps it was her faith that gave her special abilities. She always believed that her grandson could do it. When Gran saw him play for the first time, he was stunned. - Did you teach it? - No, it's God.

A little bit before I watched this, England lost the game, lost to Portugal. Yes, emotionally I do hope Portugal wins (because of FIGO)! However, Santiago in the film is going to play in England. When Santiago arrived in England, "HUMAN LOVE" was played, which is my favorite music. At that moment, I laughed knowingly in front of the screen.

Maybe God really favors Santiago, he can always meet noble people - grandma, Gran, Kevin...

Gran is a good person, and Santiago's grandma thinks so too. He has been trying to do everything he can for Santiago.

In the beginning, like most people, I thought Kevin was a jerk and a piece of shit. But, after all, he helped Santiago. And, at the end, he still showed us that he was a star and a friend of Santiago.

Of course, Santiago still encountered many difficulties, but his dream supported him and told him not to give up. It turns out that people who have dreams in their hearts will be different.

"Fame with One Goal", Santiago just "made famous with one goal", this is how long he has waited and how many goals he has experienced... At the moment when he took a penalty kick, everyone was praying for him , Gran, Grandma, Harmison, Kevin, and of course, I believe, the Father in heaven. "Unbelievable, Newcastle's newest and youngest player has made his fans sing a new song."

At the end of the film, Santiago shouted to Gran: "When I played last week, my dad watched , he watched me play!" Reminds me of Beijing Le and Lu Zhongxiaolu shouting loudly to my father on the train: "Dad, I signed a contract. Dad, tell Mom, I signed a contract! You must tell her , I signed a contract!" Oh, they are all children with dreams!

While watching this movie, I totally lost myself, totally integrated into the movie, no, I don't mean I imagined myself as a character in the movie again, although I often do. It is completely, without myself, every nerve is connected with Santiago.

By the way, by the way, Beckham (considering the difference between North and South, but also to explain that it is Beckham), Zidane (that is, Stan) and Raul cameo appearances. And, the theme song, "Who put the weight of the world on my shoulders" sung by Oasis, which is my favorite, is also very good!
