Wilde was an aestheticist, and the movie was made into a horror movie. A good novel was sprinkled with a basin full of dog blood. If you can't change it, don't change it. You shoot it directly from the novel. The painter who has always been in love with Dowling in the book, actually watched him degenerate with cold eyes. The charming Lord Henry in the book turned out to be a boring bastard. The tragedy of Dorian and the girl turned into a bloody story of a playboy and a pure girl.
The place where Dorian kisses the painter is simply the dividing line of the movie, and the previous part is barely enough. Putting the vague and unclear feelings directly in front of you is like going from holding a pipa half-covered to dancing directly naked. The dismay it caused to the audience, no other language can express except profanity. Dowling's degeneration is so easy that he is in fifth gear on the highway. The struggle between good and evil is all expressed by the sentence "I want to be a good person". Facing the hideousness of the portrait, he actually made a magic drama, and the ending was really funny. He almost thought that after watching the pirated film, he cut into the film that he didn't know about the war between humans and demons. Dorian wanted to destroy the only evidence to witness his depravity, and filmed the tragic and solemn struggle between humans and demons. The director is not suitable for the adaptation of the famous novel. Wouldn't it be a good idea to find a fantasy novel to shoot?
The actor who plays Lord Henry is a good actor. But he doesn't fit the role! The audience is not blind, even if no one has a 100,000 Hamlet, they can't accept such a boring Lord Henry.
