The story takes place in the icy Antarctic. An accident occurred during a scientific expedition. In an emergency, eight
sled dogs rescued the expedition scientists. When all the personnel had to be evacuated, eight sled dogs
were left in the uninhabited polar region. When the blizzard comes, when will people come to rescue them?
The movie quickly splits into two clues. On the one hand, Jerry, a young man who lives with the sled dog,
is obsessed with his buddies and runs around with a deep sense of guilt, from the base to
Washington , to the rescued scientist. , suffering from lack of skill. On the other hand, the eight sled dogs broke free from
the chains and faced the challenge of life and death in the ice and snow. They hunt for gulls and play
a game with fierce seals in order to feast on the carcass of a large blue whale. They rejoice at the colorful aurora
.
Six months have passed. A children's drawing touched the opportunity, it was the son of the rescued scientist.
There are eight dogs on the drawing, and the words "The dogs that saved my daddy.
" Scientists began to seriously consider a plan to rescue the sled dogs. At this time,
Jerry was traveling alone to Argentina to find his luck. It is this belief that gives him courage
: "You got to take chances for what you care about
(for what you love, adventure is worth it)." The
majestic Antarctic scenery in the movie contrasts with the witty and brave Eskimo dog , its
realism once made me feel like a documentary. The Huskies are the real protagonists of the movie.
The hardships of Jerry's rescue efforts reflect their loyalty and value.
This is a sad and surprising story, a touching experience of loving animals and nature.
