Know the movie better understand you
When it comes to making monsters cute and endearing, it's none other than "Hotel Elf".
After "Daughter Marry" and "Happy Grandson", I finally started to think about solving the problem of the protagonist Dracula's life-long event.
Some of the plots with hard concave and loose structure naturally won the embarrassing ending of the series at the bottom of the series in the mainland, not to mention that even the domestic bad films could not win at the box office.
But even so, when I saw the pair of werewolf parents in "Hotel Elf 3", my heart suddenly froze.
In the film, the werewolf parents are covered with little wolf cubs all day, almost all the time, how to prevent the wolf cubs from crying and making trouble. Although this is an animated image, it has become very appropriate in today's China.
Parenting has always been a major issue in the minds of Chinese people. Since the emergence of the one-child generation, most families have been particularly inclined to parenting resources. Attending various training classes, paying school fees to go to a good school, buying school district housing, etc., are childhood operations that the post-90s generation will never be unfamiliar with.
When the family of three has become the most common family structure in China in the past three decades, the center of the family has also shifted from the elderly to the children. When the identity of the family center changes, it also means a change in parenting attitudes. More and more only children have become the "little emperor" and "little princess" in the family, spoiled and supported by adults.
Just like the werewolf parents in the film, when they face a large group of crying wolf children, they are more overwhelmed and helpless, with exhaustion and confusion in their eyes. But in addition to crying and fighting, none of the wolf children is willing to stand up to help their parents appease other siblings, which is very similar to the character of many only children.
What's interesting is that when the werewolf parents boarded the luxury cruise ship and discovered the babysitting service on the cruise ship, they completely liberated themselves! When they threw a large group of wolf children to the fish waiter, they walked out of the door but looked at each other in confusion: "What should we do next?"
Isn't this the best image of countless Chinese parents who have been in a state of parenting for a long time after they have left the state of parenting? After the parents of the post-90s have brought up the post-90s and entered a short period of emptiness for a few years, which one is not rushing the post-90s to get married and have children? To put it nicely, it means raising the next generation, and to put it bluntly, it means to have some fun for the rest of your life.
After the werewolf parents got out of the parenting state, they were still able to get back their old fun and live a happy two-person world. But how many parents in contemporary China can find a little bit of love after they leave the state of parenting? How many can find their own fun?
The reason why the werewolf parents dare to give birth to a bunch of wolf cubs in "Hotel Elf" is because there is no problem of childcare costs in the movie. In reality, however, in China, the high cost of childcare, the long period of childcare and the increase in social living costs have caused many young people to hesitate on the issue of fertility, choosing to have children later or to be infertile.
Today, when China is rapidly entering an aging population, even if the country gradually relaxes its birth policy, it still cannot resist the gradual decline in the birth population.
In such an embarrassing situation, the proposal of an idea not long ago shocked the whole of China, that is, a " fertility fund ". In essence, the "maternity fund" and the "fine" for family planning in that year belong to the same nature.
However, the "excessive birth fines" in those days were only aimed at a small group of people, and today's "maternity funds" are tied to the big boat of giving birth to everyone. If you don’t give birth, you can’t even give birth to one child, you have to pay for it. Although you can get money after giving birth to two, that little money is a drop in the bucket before the huge childcare costs.
Those born in the 1980s and 1990s will probably become the most special group in the history of Chinese fertility: they have experienced the arduous task of becoming an only-child group through "family planning", and they have to devote themselves to the "second-child career". Who can truly become a "parent" when raising offspring is out of the heart?
After watching "Hotel Elf 3", many people should not want to be the parents of the werewolf, and hope that they will become the jelly monster Blobby!
