Finished 10 episodes in one go. As mentioned by many people, as the opening work of apple tv+, it will not be bad in terms of casting, story and production.
In terms of casting, several core characters are very full. From the aspects of work, family and interpersonal relationships, each character is introduced. There is no such perfect character, and everyone is more or less pitiful or cute, because the actors feel that they have played it alive. After reading it up to now, I even doubt everyone's "small abacus", and I really want to continue digging into everyone.
Some say JA played Alex like Rachel. In fact, I feel the same way, and even I wonder if Alex is the same Rachel 25 years ago, who chose this job, and even the independence required by character and the occasional emptiness in emotion seem to be in the same line. But this does not mean that she is not good at acting, it is just that her previous role is too deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the audience is too familiar with this role. Alex also really made people see the loss of a woman of her age, especially the process from habitual dependence to having to mature.
This is a film about office culture. In an office scene that seems calm on the surface, there has long been an undercurrent of secrets inside. In fact, isn't this very similar to our usual environment? People are accustomed to the established and familiar environment, accustomed to the "potential" rules, and are afraid to be breakers. But if you don't do this, it will be subtly influenced by the internal environment and will be corrupted a little bit. And Bradley plays such a role, such a breaker, and the film also promotes such a positive and correct orientation. When we encounter injustice, we must stand up bravely. (I even think this seems to be saying that Apple, don't rely on the inherent thinking, and only continue to innovate to gain a foothold.)
