ME TOO from Hollywood to China.
In recent years, relevant news has been reported almost every so often. Professor XX sexually assaulted female students, the principal of XX abused his power, and well-known figures of XX had improper sexual relations with their subordinates. My heart is always mixed with joy and sorrow. The joy is that more and more people are finally aware of this inequality and are willing to speak up; the sorrow is that there will always be people experiencing these inequities.
I do not want to discuss this issue in depth, but to review some of my own related behavior.
Ever since I was in college, I've heard words like "Which road in school is Baoyan Road?" At that time, I was like Alex. When I heard these words, I joked with my classmates. a very serious matter. I never thought at the time, this kind of behavior is equal? It seems that you subconsciously think that "everyone gets what they need".
After work, in the media and entertainment industry where the environment is relatively open, even if everyone shares the same hatred and indignation when discussing sexual assault incidents, in addition to daily work chats, they will still hear some men joke about sex, and even Some women also make bad comments about women. It seems that a man's promotion is an affirmation of his ability, while a woman's promotion has become her "flattery" to the boss, or sacrificed something. Of course, I'm lucky that when people hear uncomfortable jokes, they seriously say, "Watch what you say and do".
I've always admired Bradley's courage when watching the show. I also hope that I can always support those who need support.
Maybe cowardly in the face of power, but I believe the truth will not be buried.
