This is what a fairy tale looks like - Magic Cinderella

This is an age where cruelty is discussed all over the world.

Because of the title, I keep putting this one at the end of my queue of movies. Then I read Susu's book for a while and decided to finish reading her. Not only because of her gorgeous colors, Annie's beautiful big eyes, but also because of that little heartless feeling that I haven't had in a long time.

The blueprint of Cinderella, a little bit of magic, a little bit of conspiracy, the happy ending that was pointed out before the movie started, the ending is easy to guess. We can watch Annie smile when she is in danger, because, sure, there will be princes flying out and the wicked will suffer. We can safely hand ourselves over to the movie and let her please you. Don't worry about what tricks the director will use to seduce you and be extra careful.

How good, this is the original appearance of fairy tales, there are beautiful girls, there are vigorous princes. There is a big bad guy playing tricks on the side, but he has to accept that the prince and princess live happily together.
Warm and aspirational.

Such a story may be shallow, too beautiful to be worth mentioning. And as long as the future life of the prince and the girl is discussed, and they have to divorce due to family differences, the film may immediately rise to the scope of discussing human nature, which is probably not something I can interpret.
Too much, too cruel. Just like those inspirational songs, the words remind you over and over how bad and troublesome you are, as if you didn't know it.

In fact, what we really don't know is that there are really beautiful things in this world that we never know.
The so-called fairy tale, that's why.

ps: The music in the film obviously has the tune of "Pirates of the Caribbean", and with the prince's sword swing, it is simply a replica of Orlando's fencing to retreat from the enemy, and then the prince's several poses have Bruce Lee's posture, which is very interesting.
I originally thought that this kind of musical youth film must have come from Disney, but it is a bit unexpected to be listed under the name of miramax. Although it belongs to Disney, miramax has more award-winning films such as British patients. It is rare to see such a script.

Ella Enchanted quotes

  • Slannen the Elf: Elves aren't that short you know. That's just a stupid myth created by that "Elves and the Shoemaker" story. Do I look small enough to fit in a shoe? Stinkin' Grimm Brothers!

  • Slannen the Elf: [rustling] Oh no... The rustling always comes before the screaming and the running. I *knew* this was gonna happen! They're just gonna find pieces of us scattered across the forest.

Benny: [a rabbit hops out of the bushes] Oh, a bunny. You know, the last known case of a bunny attack was, well, *never*.
