I Get Overwhelmed: Poetic is a vulgar word, but I still want to use it

This movie was released as early as 17 years ago. I marked it on February 28 this year to watch it. Then I watched it for more than ten minutes one day, and it was not until today that I completed the whole film completely and quietly. Today happens to be the 28th again. There are a lot of movies that I want to watch but haven’t watched, and I haven’t watched half of them. I never deliberately use these lists to remind myself, but it just happens to be such a coincidence, it’s a wonderful fate.

When I saw the recommendation on the homepage, I looked at the poster and then looked at the name, line, horror movie. Even if the Chinese translation of the name is so literary and smeared with ghost characters, I ignored it.

The first time I watched "Ghostbusters" was on the small screen on the back of the plane seat. The nebula in the dark night and the flickering light spots on the door were all black screens that reflected light to me, and those melodies and murmurs were also Completely inaudible. If there was a list of the worst movies to watch on a plane of the year, I would definitely vote for it.

Then I rewatched it by myself at home and it was a very slow-paced movie. A pair of modern lovers lived in an old house. Later, the male owner died unexpectedly, but he became a bed sheet ghost because of his obsession. In the first 30 minutes, there was a long shot of the female host sitting on the ground and eating pie in grief. Impatiently moving the progress bar for three minutes, she was still eating pie.

But then with the accompaniment of the song I Get Overwhelmed, the mood of the movie came out, and I fell in love with the movie at first sight at that moment. And the rhythm of the whole movie finally entered the topic at this time. The audience experienced the male protagonist as a ghost watching his beloved from crying for him, to how to slowly get out of grief day by day and embrace life again, without "people" Knowing its existence, no "people" care about its desperation. Time passes slowly in the world but it has nothing to do with ghosts. The ex-girlfriend in the world finally moves out, and it silently looks at the newly moved Mexican family and witnesses. New births and separations, noise and quarrels—until years later, when the suburban house was demolished and turned into a high-rise, everything familiar was a thing of the past.

Minimalism + nihilism is full of affection and loneliness, accompanied and finally relieved and disappeared, which is really beautiful.

A bed sheet ghost trapped in time, trying to dig out the small note stuffed into the wall by the lover before leaving, obsessively making it stand in the house and stagnant in time, watching the tenant's life again and again. . There is also a ghost in the next room, clothed in floral sheets.

"I'm waiting for someone."

"Who?"

"I don't remember"

Two ghosts draped in sheets were talking silently through the window in an empty room by themselves.

And just as it was about to get the note, the dilapidated house was overturned by a bulldozer.

Two ghosts stand on the ruins and stare at each other silently

"I don't think they're coming back"

At the moment when he finished speaking, the flower bed sheet, who had been waiting in the house for many years, fell to the ground.

I want to say poetic, even though the word has been overused, and things that are usually given the word stand for obscurity. For example, after watching the dialogue of several scenes, I am still not sure of its nature, whether the ghost has traveled through or restarted time or another time and space? What exactly was written on the note?

Of course, it doesn't really matter what the note says.

Whether it was the falling of the flower bed sheet or the sudden landing of the white bed sheet after finally dug out the note, I was shocked and speechless.

And my pale language at this time cannot describe the shock, and the communication between the two ghosts is speechless and silent.

After reading it, I listened to the sound of my footsteps walking in the room, the keyboard tapping when writing a book review, the flushing sound of washing dishes, and the noise downstairs. The irritability of the past few days suddenly seemed to become calm. Flowing water, in black and white.

Maybe that's the magic of the movie.
