After watching it, I have been thinking about what this movie is going to express. After watching it twice, I have some thoughts.
In fact, it said at the beginning of the movie: whatever hour you woke there was a door shutting, some netizens directly translated it as: "no matter when you wake up, you will hear a door shutting", I think it should be translated as: "every hour you woke there was a door shutting" The next time you wake up, the door to the past day will be closed." It means that you can never go back to the past.
It is said that the director said that arguing about whether or not to move was a real thing between the director himself and his wife. I think the theme of this film is also what the director's own inner world wants to express. It is the director's thinking about what to pursue and how to live. It's a movie the director made for himself.
The male protagonist is a very egoistic person, immersed in his own interests and hobbies, and he hardly cares about his wife and life. From the beginning, I didn't worry about moving, and I knew that the hostess would pull heavy things to the side of the road by herself.
In fact, the male protagonist is almost dead from the beginning. He doesn't care about life at all, and he doesn't care about the people he loves. For example, M said many times that he had to move before he was moved. Later, when I really died and couldn't pursue music anymore, I began to notice the bits and pieces of M. But it's too late to comfort him any more, and he can't go back.
As for what was written in the last note, the movie used the heroine's words at the beginning, but it was actually just a verse or something I wanted to remember. In the end, why did the male protagonist disappear immediately when he saw the note? Because the strips represent the past. When I got the note, the door opened. The door opened means that I can go back to the past. When the male protagonist saw the content of the note, he went back to the past.
I think, starting over, the male protagonist will cherish every day, stop pursuing certain things too much, and live a good life.
