This animation has two points that don't play as I expected, causing me to occasionally feel like a headless fly in the process of watching.
One is the thin "friendship". Everyone has their own opinion, direction and purpose, elder brother, younger brother, Ishvar, army, android... Different people in each camp have their own thoughts, on the so-called journey to find the Sage's Stone, The friendship between them is weak, and there is absolutely no way to expect a stable relationship such as "friendship", "unity", "common enemy" and "long-term trust" to appear.
No matter how many variables there are in the plot, the relationship between the characters has their own unbreakable core. The characters are full of each other's emotional connection and the continuous promotion of the story, and the audience's emotional identity with the characters is also established - this is the model I'm used to.
Therefore, the characters who acted separately and promoted the plot in this place did make me a little maladaptive.
The second is "growth". I thought that the growth of the youth was the upgrade of the monsters that never died under the aura of the protagonist. It was the experience of setbacks, the maturity of the mind, and the increase of the force value. However, in this manga, the brush and ink are not at all in the upgrading of alchemy, nor in the growth of the male protagonist's surface. The male protagonist is at the same level of alchemy from beginning to end, and his combat effectiveness has not improved. The most obvious is the middle episode, where the unknown truth is played around, impulsive, and when he fights, the mechanical armor turns into a short sword, and he rushes up and fights again. I couldn't beat it, and for a while, I was speechless except for saying "weak chicken".
However, under such suffocation, I still carefully watched all 51 episodes and thought it was a good animation.
Every time the "equivalent exchange" before the op starts, it seems to give the animation a mysterious atmosphere like fate. Such distant warmth is the starting point of all stories. In the blood-like setting sun of Lizengburg, they buried their mother and stretched out their hands to the treacherous formation.
