Unlike the Hollywood ending

I'm used to watching Hollywood movies. When I watched half of the movie, I guessed that the ending was: the terrorist was rescued, and Scar was killed at the last moment to protect Juan. And Juan finally became the boss of the prison, and then kept it for the sequel. . . And the ending of this movie is quite the opposite. . . I guessed the process, but not the ending. . . Of course, the ending of the film gives Juan a more tragic color. An ordinary person who was supposed to have a dull and happy future was accidentally involved in this tragedy.
