uncle next door

More than ten years ago, it was said that Yuan Bin was very popular, and he was often mentioned together with Zhang Dongjian. It's a pity that he didn't like Korean dramas at that time, and only knew that there was such an actor. A few years ago, I watched "The Tai Chi Flag Flying", oh, this is Yuan Bin. Later, "Mother", and then this "Lone Man", now it seems that Yuan Bin's unique melancholy temperament is still very attractive.

1. Regarding the translation of the title, the literal translation of 아저씨 is "Uncle", why does it have to be translated into "The Lonely Agent"?

I don't understand this. From the content of the movie alone, this movie is the story of the uncle next door saving the little girl. It has nothing to do with the identity of the agent and the work of the agent. That's all because of his skills. Behind the seemingly plain translation is the lonely life of a former agent, so I think the translation of "Uncle" is more suitable. And the name of "Lone Man" will make people think that this is a spy war film, which does not match the social realism theme that the film is trying to express, and it feels a bit nominal. When I think of another movie, the same is true, that is, "The Secret Service" starring Huang Zhengmin and Li Xingmin. The literal translation of 공작 is "Work". This word also means underground work, but the final title is "The Secret Service". Translated films are all like this. The translator will add his own understanding and imagination. Each translated work can also be said to be a re-creation of the translator. In this way, if you often watch foreign language films, how important it is to master the corresponding language.

Second, the uncle next door or a lonely agent?

The pawnshop manager Cha Tae-seok played by Won Bin was originally a skilled agent who performed tasks for the country, but because of his work, he lost his wife and unborn child. This character is a tragic character. Because of the particularity of his work, he has put in a hundred times more effort than ordinary people, practicing various skills hard, and overcoming the psychological pressure after murder. I finally completed the task and wanted to be a normal person, but I lost the person I loved the most. And the neighbor girl Xiaomi, whose mother does not love her, is discriminated against, like living in a swamp. However, although she also has petty theft due to circumstances, it is still good in nature. She likes the uncle next door, and under her active approach, Cha Tae-seok's already cold heart was warmed unknowingly. The two have established a very special relationship. Xiaomi and Che Taixi are a daughter, and Cha Taixi is based on Xiaomi being a father. The two warm each other in that indifferent society, creating a lonely front. The agent acts as the character of the uncle next door.

3. Various conflicts in the film

The main line is the police's anti-drug operation, which involves drug dealers and human organ trafficking. Xiaomi was arrested for stealing drugs from his mother, and Yuan Bin was also implicated as a neighbor. Every character in the movie has their own desires, the police arrest drug-related people, drug dealers make drugs for profit, black eats black, Xiaomi seeks warmth, and Cha Tae-seok protects loved ones, so there are constant conflicts, plus a few more. The fighting scene makes the film fast-paced and highly watchable. In particular, the skills of special agent Che Taixi are invincible and unmatched. There is no suspense all the way to the end. It is simply too high and complete.

In fact, human nature has weaknesses, I think this weakness is kindness. The most pitiful person is the killer played by a Thai actor, who was moved by a Band-Aid and saved Xiaomi. And because of the mutual sympathy between the masters, he gave up using pistols and insisted on fighting, which led to Cha Tae-seok using indiscriminate methods to win him. At the moment of dying, his eyes were all roaring with anger, "Why do you use your mouth? bite me?!"

In the end, Won Bin is really handsome, Kim Sae Ron is really talented, Kim Hee Won and Kim Sung Wu's villain is very good, but there is still a sense of hilarity, which is very interesting. Guo Duyuan's soy sauce is also very distinctive. The bright red clothes and exaggerated performance are really eye-catching. Since then, Zhongwu Road has received countless movies, and it deserves its name.
