This was my favorite novel when I was in high school. It was borrowed from He Shuai at that time. This fat fat man has been rushing to read "Science Fiction World" every month. I don't know if he will watch this American drama today after going our separate ways.
In general, the big stalk of the plot is completely in accordance with the direction of the book, and there is no suspense. But this is not the most important thing. The brightest part of the book is the wit of many small details, such as the worker who complained about the printing of the book, and the rant about religion. But these are not seen in the play, maybe because the words are too difficult to present. But the visual burden is even more, the cheap look of Clooney taking a bath in the holy water bathtub, the little love angel enjoying being roasted in the hellfire... What I didn't expect was that the flame car was placed in the hot tub. The classic song with QUEEN turned out to be such a burning picture!
The acting skills of the two main characters, including the archangel, are absolutely perfect. In this way, the sluggishness of the little actor is brought out. Most of the time, this Antichrist has a dumbfounded expression, not as spooky as in the novel at all. The passage of his group of young friends dealing with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is obviously too perfunctory. In the end, Satan's appearance was not so shocking. It was like a huge red orc with a mental retardation who came to play a card.
In general, after ten years, seeing the characters who were once supplemented by the imagination in high school appear on the screen with such a real appearance, it still evokes some regrets for the lost imagination. Growing up so big, I guess I can't write such a spoof but smart novel.
