Self-seeking/monkey lens meaning

The merry-go-round finally ran in tears when it turned, and was moved by the time when the male lead finally saw and accepted his true feelings.
The plot along the way is deduced with the expression of emotions. After a sudden change, he cannot express his emotions normally. After dismantling and venting his emotions, he slowly finds himself. And found out that when his wife was alive, he didn’t really care about her, nor did he care about life and marriage. Eventually, he saw the note left by his disliked wife in the car and finally cried out. Later, he found his father-in-law and mentioned "We Loved, but I didn’t manage it well”, which means that he finally found the answer and finally turned his emotions back to normal. He fixed the merry-go-round to commemorate his wife. This is something he thinks he can do for his wife.
There is also a detail in the play. There are constant scenes of him falling asleep while watching TV. But at the beginning, he didn't give a close-up of the TV show. It just made people notice that the male protagonist always watched the same TV show without emotion before going to bed. Until the mood gradually stabilized in the back, and after finding a solution to find himself, I gave a close-up to the TV program. It was the monkeys catching each other's lice and cuddling each other on their stomachs in the water. I think this directly expresses that the male protagonist misses the appearance of the two together after losing his wife, and even envy the monkeys leaning against each other.

Demolition quotes

  • Davis: Who the fuck drives a station wagon?

  • Davis: What about the boys at school? Is there anybody that you like, that you find attractive?

Chris: Maybe Andrew White. He's a junior, and we have the same gym class too. We have to get changed together.

Davis: Do you watch him when you get changed?

    Chris: No.

Davis: Well then I don't think you're gay, Chris.

Chris: I have to try not to look. I have to tell myself not to.

Davis: Yeah, no, that's normal, you know. I mean, you're young and curious, it's...

Chris: Sometimes I imagine his dick in my mouth.

    Davis: Oh. That's different.
