Nanako

Many years ago, I was locked in a university dormitory watching the midnight bell, and I wanted to experience the highest level of Japanese horror characters. It was also the first horror movie I saw. After so many years, what left a deep impression on me was not the scene of Sadako crawling out of the TV, but the scene of Nanako going deep into the well and having a close "conversation" with Sadako. At that time, Nanako embodied the great personality power of a woman. In order to save her family and her own destiny, she resolutely decided to go deep into the tiger's den. When the female ghost at the bottom of the water suddenly appeared, she did not panic too much, instead she showed a kind of indifference, comforting Sadako just like a hurt friend. As if Sadako would be moved too.
I have seen the conditions of the witch played by Nanako and the image of the teacher in GTO before, and I feel that her own temperament is most suitable for these calm and generous female characters. The performance in Fierce Bell is no exception.
The reason why Midnight Ring is so successful is not because of how many horror shots it has constructed, but because it reflects the great side of human nature. The courage shown in the face of unexpected disaster is what impresses the audience.
