The acting and lines are really good, but the ending is bad

Someone once said, if you want something very badly, set it free.

If it comes back to you, it's yours forever.

If it doesn't, it was never yours to begin with.

I think it should end like this -
Diana Listen After reading the story of the rich man, I felt very shocked, but I still politely thanked and said goodbye. After getting off the car, I ran to the bus and said the lines again after getting on the bus, "Someone once said, if you want something very badly, set it free . If it comes back to you, it's yours forever. If it doesn't, it was never yours to begin with." ends.

On the one hand, it echoes the same scene and lines as the beginning of the film, and on the other hand, it is a metaphor: although they are childhood sweethearts, their love still can't stand the test, "it was never yours to begin with", the love in student days, even if I was lucky enough to survive the graduation season. Once I set foot in the society, under the cruel reality, separation is inevitable.

Finally, a special coin is important!

  • John: [reading through the contract drawn up by Jeremy] Do you want to elaborate on the "Verification" clause?

Jeremy: Verification? That means you pay even if the relationship isn't consummated.

John: You mean if I'm impotent?

Jeremy: It's important for a lawyer to cover contingencies.

John: I can live with that. The "John Garfield Clause"?

Jeremy: That's if you die in the act.

John: I have no problem with that either. Could I have your pen?

    [signs contract]

John: You're pretty good, you know.

    Jeremy: Thank you.

John: You should come and work for me.

    Jeremy: Ooh!

  • Jeremy: For a million bucks *I'd* sleep with him.

    [David glares at him]

    Jeremy: ... Maybe not.
