Before Lucy's birthday, Paddington wanted to use the money he earned to buy a book for Lucy. But then the book was stolen by the magician, and Paddington, who was passing by, heard the movement, and it went after the thief. Instead, Paddington was arrested by the police on suspicion and sentenced to 10 years. When the Browns found out, the whole family went out to testify for Paddington the bear. However, without sufficient evidence, the police could not let Paddington go. Still, Paddington didn't complain, and he made a few friends there. At the same time, in order to help Paddington clear his innocence, the Brown family is posting the real wanted criminals, they get up early and return late, and make various efforts. Both the Browns and Paddington consider each other their family. You bring people with warmth, others treat you with warmth.

Paddington 2 quotes

  • Phoenix Buchanan: Oh, well that sounds entirely... plausible.

Henry Brown: Does it? Great! Well, I'm delighted to say that everything seems tickety-boo.

    Phoenix Buchanan: Wonderful.

Henry Brown: So! I'll nip back to the office and get the boys to type that up ASAP. And we'll hope to see you soon!

Phoenix Buchanan: Indeed! Perhaps next time, *not* in your pyjamas. Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Mary Brown: [laughing] He's such a silly one!

    Phoenix Buchanan: Now, now.

  • Mary Brown: You wanted to get that book so Aunt Lucy could see London, didn't you?

Paddington: It was always her dream.

Mary Brown: Well we thought... why look at London in a book? When she could see the real thing.

    [doorbell rings]

Mary Brown: Why don't you go and answer that?
