I remember reading the novel <1984> a long time ago
, and it seemed that I was still in high school. At that time, I already felt breathless.
This time I spent another two hours digging out the movie and watched the

movie itself. It 's not as good as the novel,
but after watching it, I really want to delete this movie completely,
people really don't want to imagine that the scenes in the movie appear in real life.

There is a passage:
the hero Winston and The heroine Julia is standing naked by the window (about 1:11 in the film):

everything in the room seems to be exhausted, there is no water, and there is no oil

listening to the fat woman outside the window and downstairs doing laundry Sing:

They say time heals all wounds
They say you can always forget
but joy and sorrow still tug at my heartstrings
even after years They see a beauty of freedom, beauty of free thought, independent of this controlled world Completely open heart, the old woman, despite her ugly appearance, has the happiest thing in the world, uncontrolled, her own happiness and freedom. Winston said: The future belongs to her. We are dead Julia said: We are already dead. There is a voice from a distance: You are already dead.... This pair of lovers, arrested, the behavior of the lovers, how can they escape the surveillance of the Thought Police? They It's everywhere, in everyone's heart. This episode has me blown away and I really don't know what to say.

1984 quotes

  • Winston Smith: I know you'll fail. Something in this world... some spirit you will never overcome...

O'Brien: What is it, this principle?

Winston Smith: I don't know. The spirit of man.

O'Brien: And do you consider yourself a man?

    Winston Smith: Yes.

O'Brien: If you're a man, Winston, you're the last man. Your kind is extinct. We are the inheritors. Do you realize that you are alone? You are outside history. You unexist. Get up.

[Winston gets up and O'Brien shows him his reflection in a mirror. Winston is disheveled and beaten]

O'Brien: *That* is the last man. If you are human, *that* is humanity.

  • O'Brien: Power is tearing human minds apart and putting them back together in new shapes of your own choosing.
