Remember your own little story

Premature children are distressing. The boy's eyes are warm and pure. For some reason, when he left the boy who was sleeping on the rocking chair, the scene of helping him pick up the toy really moved me, with reluctance and even some gratitude... The overall picture is brighter and makes people feel I think their lives will slowly get better.

This movie also reminds me of a competition I participated in when I was a child. It was organized by my father's unit, and similar parent-child activities were carried out in the form of family units. I worked very hard in every competition, because I liked the row of music boxes on the prize platform, and I secretly encouraged myself: I must work hard and do my best, and then I can get the music box. In the end, my parents and I won the first place. The first place was a large ceramic vase. An old grandfather with good calligraphy wrote our family's name on the streamer of the vase on the spot. But I don't want a ceramic vase, I want a music box! Only later did I know that the whole row of music boxes was a gift specially prepared by my father’s unit for the children of single-parent families. They can get it by reciting a Tang poem as a talent show... And I carefully prepared handicrafts, on-site sketches, singing, and parents’ rehearsal. There are sketches and various live competitions, no matter how good these are, I can't get a music box. The moment I learned that the first place was not a music box, I cried. I was very sad. My parents thought I was crying with joy. But I really wanted the music box, I was 7 years old, and 25 years later, I still remember what it looked like and how good it sounded.

Children of Heaven quotes

  • Ali: Zahra, I have good news.

    Zahra: What news?

Ali: I am selected for the race.

    Zahra: What race?

Ali: Long-Distance Running. The third-best runner gets a pair of new sneakers.

    Zahra: Why the third?

Ali: The First and Second prizes are something else. If I come in third, I'll give you the sneakers.

Zahra: But those shoes are for boys.

Ali: I'll exchange them. I'll get a pair of girl's shoes for you.

Zahra: What if you don't come in third?

Ali: I'll be third for sure.
