this is a true story.
Charles Howard was a former bicycle mechanic who made money by introducing cars to the American West. He bought a very small horse named Seabiscuit, which directly translates to sea biscuit. Howard teamed up with half-blind former boxing champion Rhett Pollard and former showman Tom Smith to train his small racehorses, with Pollard as the jockey and Smith as the trainer. Ocean Biscuits and its trio embark on a legendary journey that changes their life paths forever.
Before that, all three of them seemed to be failures in life for their own reasons, abandoned by family and friends, unable to realize their ideals. Howard made his fortune from car deals, his son was killed in a traffic accident, and his wife asked for a divorce; Pollard grew up riding horses, and his family let him wander after losing everything; Smith was a cowboy who could tame any violent wild horse , but also wandering everywhere, with nowhere to turn. Their horse, Ocean Biscuits, also resembles its owner, a loser in the race. Not only is it smaller than a normal racehorse, but it also looks like it has leg problems. But when the trio began training the seemingly hopeless horse, the tenacity of the man and the horse was revealed, and their tenacity and victory brought hope to the country in those gloomy times.
