During the war years, we were in the trenches, roaring excitedly, watching enemy planes fly over our heads, hearing the call of bullets, and we wrote our last wishes. We work hard for one or the future, and keep forging ahead in fear.
These are the two forces that give rise to the advancement of mankind. Perhaps the former is easily accepted, however, the two forces do exist at the same time.
Can we do things with passion alone, or with fear alone. I don't think it's possible. Nature itself also has its own laws, not to mention human beings, must obey certain laws to limit themselves. But passion can't do it. However, creative discovery cannot be accomplished by fear. The drive to explore is easily lost and leaves the human mind incomplete.
