religious meaning

The film has strong Christian religious undertones. Don't play the role of God and judge by yourself. There is only one God, and man does not have this authority. If he were to try himself, the result would be that he would become a devil. The ending of the film is very clear, the father of revenge, the elegant middle class who wanted to seek justice for his son, eventually turned into a murderous devil!
Reminds me of a passage in the Bible: "Dear brothers, don't avenge yourself, but rather give in and let the wrath of the Lord. The Lord said, it is mine to avenge, and I will repay"!
