Disappointed

It was a pretty good cartoon in my childhood memory. After it was adapted into a movie, it lost a lot of very intimate feeling. Except for the 7 buttons on the Mach 5, and the brother who drove the No. 9 car, I would never think of it again. What familiar scenes have come up? The picture has strong cartoon characteristics, and there are many special effects. The overall is a bit messy, and the plot is not very clear. There are many differences with the original version. Compared with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I watched it when I was a child. For an adaptation of a fairy tale I've ever seen, the latter would be much better.

Well, I admit I can't keep up with the Wachowskis' thinking. Maybe ten years from now, this film will be recognized, at least now, I don't.

Shanghai Yiyeyang 6 plays stunts, rough acting, and sloppy. Now that I’m back, I’m going to start to find the rhythm of watching movies.

Speed Racer quotes

  • Speed: Racing hasn't changed, and it never will.

Racer X: It doesn't matter if racing never changes. What matters is if we let racing change us. Every one of us has to find a reason to do this. You don't climb into a T-180 to be a driver. You do it because you're driven.

  • Trixie: Oh my god, was that a ninja?

Pops Racer: More like a NON-ja. Terrible what passes for a ninja these days.
