The power of respect and desire for life in desperate situations

After watching this film, my heart is very shocked and surging. Thoughts are surging but I don't know where to start.

I really have a special feeling for disaster movies, especially shipwreck movies.

From "Titanic" to "Youth Pie", "Depth of the Sea" and "Perfect Storm" (I was very impressed with this film, but I couldn't remember the title at first. After searching for a long time, I also downloaded a lot of clips. Just remembered).

The biggest shock to me from the shipwreck movie is the big winds and waves. The great power of the ocean is so awesome.

But what touched me more is the perseverance of human life in disasters, and still relying on one's own wisdom in desperate situations, and more of the will to survive, fighting. This kind of power can give us a little bit of enlightenment on the hardships of our daily lives.

Specific to this film, there is respect for life and respect for profession. Love and public office, both sides have insisted on their positions, which is very good.

Next, the entire cast of nymphomaniac is all high-profile, incarnate as Chris Pine, the self-destructive image of the previous big bad movie is really hopeless...

and disaster movies are generally very good in visual effects! There is a section of the boat inside. The boys have no resistance to this kind of machinery. They have superb driving skills and seize the fleeting moment to accelerate their steering. This feeling of adrenaline burst is fascinating.

After the main feature of the film was over, the real newspaper clippings and photos of that year felt so good as the background, and I scanned it a few times!

The Finest Hours quotes

  • John Stello: The old man don't know what he is doing. He sends you out to die. You can't make it over Chatham bar on a day like this. You can't stay afloat with half a ship neither.

Bernie Webber: Well, Mr. Stello, in the Coast Guard to say you gotta go out. But they don't say you gotta come back in. That's regulation, you know.

  • Richard Livesey: Maybe we take these guys in and come back out.

Bernie Webber: We can't leave 'em out here alone. That boat won't last. We all live, or we all die.
