Gray middle-aged and young girl Oedipus

In "Chloe", there are 4 characters, or a girl and a family. Teenage girls are high-class prostitutes, and families are upper-middle class. Originally, they were two completely unrelated parts, because the girl Chloe's Oedipus complex and the female doctor Catherine's gray middle-aged, there was a trace of entanglement between the two. And with Katherine's husband's seemingly non-existent appearance, the son's adolescent rebellion, the climax of the story also appeared.

1. Girl Chloe
The high-end place where the girl works is not far from the female doctor's clinic. Maybe it was a meeting on the street, or a quick glance in the restaurant. Anyway, the girl has her in her heart. After that, it can be said that the girl's careful design, the observation of the restaurant, the contact in the bathroom, the first official appointment, the report about the female doctor's husband, the accidental fall, step by step. If the girl is replaced by a boy, and the female doctor is changed into a girl, isn't this a romantic story of a slender lady and a gentleman?
In the bathroom, the trembling of the first finger contact, the gaze between the two when Catherine treated Chloe's wound. They all quietly describe Chloe's love and attachment to Catherine. And the hairpin that appeared on Chloe's head from the beginning of the film, or the phrase "I wanna you to have it." shows that Catherine is someone in Chloe's heart.

2. Catherine, a gray middle-aged
female doctor, has her own clinic, a handsome and talented son, and a house that can be called a work of art. Unlike the middle and lower classes who are facing work and economic pressure, her midlife crisis comes from her insecurity. A friend accidentally said a word and went to the bathroom to change her hairstyle nervously; the conversation between her husband and the waiter also made her feel uncomfortable. She was grumpy; peeked at her husband's text messages; secretly observed who her husband chatted with at work; hired prostitutes to test her husband. All of this is simply because I feel like my husband and I are more like a good friend than a good couple. Or maybe it's because her husband's sex life with her is dwindling, or even not at all. It was these that really caused this family turmoil.

3. The climax and the ending
The climax of the movie must be the scene in which Chloe falls down the stairs (or rather gives up her own life) during an argument between Chloe and Katherine. Facing Chloe's persecution and her child's astonished eyes, Catherine chose family and abandoned Chloe. In the ending, when Catherine turned around, she revealed the hairpin on her head, which made the ending of the story more profound.
