You could call Bilott a non-mainstream lawyer, or you could call him a deviant. Careful viewers will find that Bilott is somewhat out of place in most elite social situations. His back was slightly hunched, his speech was relatively slow, and his demeanor was a little dull. No matter how he looked, he didn't look like a generous lawyer defending a big business. At dinner parties on different occasions, he always seemed a little restrained, as if he was always at odds with this white-dominated capital world.
