A brief and simple comment on Dark Waters.

Some brief comments and feelings about this movie, Dark Waters.

To be honest, I dozed with eyelids trembling and almost fell asleep during the first ten minutes when the movie was still driven in the plain-narrative style. But it turned out to be a stimulus greatly striking my nerve as soon as the few clips of ill, poisoned or dead animals were displayed in the screen. From that on, I couldn't keep my curiosity and temporarily vague anxiety from the box. As I discussed about this kind of “cliché” a long time ago with my elder sister, a lot of movies made by American movie producers are prone to make moviegoers bear the boredom and blandness before they are captivated by the ongoing and impending plots, especially in a drama.

Several moments in which I felt impressed by the characters as well as some scenarios:

Mr. Bob got himself involved in the seemingly insurmountable obstacle that was too high to be crossed with courage and confidence by general lawyers. That was, the incredible battle against an extremely arrogant monster which has permeated its power through multiple industries and sectors. However, the protagonist on the stage also had a knack in creating miracles every time the process of dealing with the issue was almost cut off. He deserved the honor to be memorized by residents in the community who ever benefited from his assistance and perseverance.

Besides, one of the most touching flashes to me was acted by another person that was Bob's boss (I guess?), Tom Terp. When he managed to trigger the hidden spirit of justice and fairness among common humans underneath the deep mentality of those indifferent counselors, which happened in the mid-meeting, all the emotions he delivered to viewers outside the case and the whole discourse full of passion he burst out showed a huge professional capacity for an actor.

I fidgeted before my laptop only to think over how many difficulties were still awaiting and how long the man would insist on fighting after the final call with hopelessness. But finally, all my discomposure was alleviated and even eliminated the moment I saw the slowly appearing timeline of later events in the movie's ending.

The lawyer never suspended his cause with his strength and wisdom. Apart from his intelligent wife and senior in the workplace, there must be more and more people backed him like the tough ballast in the future.
