In the garden sun, she looked at him...

Accustomed to short comments, I just re-entered the long engagement tonight with insomnia.
A movie like this is something Americans will never make (no pejorative here).
The "Critical French" is really picky in terms of art.
Looking at the title, I thought it was just a story about a marriage contract,
but the director incorporated a lot in the movie... Seriously, to put it in a funny sentence: The amount of information is too much.
It can be said that it shocked me. It's the worst "romance movie" I've ever seen.
Maybe I'm not knowledgeable enough. But after watching the movie, I thought that if I find the person I love in the future, I must let him watch it with me...
Audrey Tautou, Jodie Foster, and Marion Cotillard are all three goddesses. Impeccable picture and music, seeing the lighthouse and the albatross, the heart skips half a beat...
Battlefield, dark humor, death, revenge... Finally, in the sunshine of the garden, it is French again.

There is always a strong history in Renai's movies that lingers in the moment. He stepped up his efforts. "The Long Engagement" is also full of secret words between memory and fantasy. However, Matilda, who sits under the watchtower and blows the horn of hope, and "Angel Emily" are in the same line, not the golden vintage tone. It's the time of faint and old (damp and moldy). Unfortunately, only those who live in the past will squander their youth and waste their financial resources and will tirelessly explore the truth in "2046". Wong Kar-wai's film is fascinating because the memory track he laid is bidirectional. Anyone can meet randomly or run alone in the labyrinth of time.
