★8.5 "Doctor Zhivag": There will always be someone who can read poetry in life! The soundtrack that runs through the film is majestic and complements the soul-stirring background of the big era. Exquisite sets, sophisticated lighting, and extreme tones all restore history to the greatest extent possible. However, in the emotional narrative of Doctor Zhivag, the director lost the rhythm: the two relationships between Zhivag and his wife Tonya and his lover Lala were unclear in many places, and even a bit contrary to common sense, which directly led to Zhivag It is difficult for the audience to have a sense of identity in their hearts with his feelings. How Slinkov has transformed from a hot-blooded youth to a ruthless killing machine is also plausible. Therefore, the greatness of this film is separated from the story, and the historical changes it carries and the magnificent scenery of the northern country under the lens can be called great. Compared with "Gone with the Wind", which is a similar epic love theme, this film is slightly inferior in the portrayal of human nature.
