2005, when Woody Allen married his adopted daughter. This has always been talked about. So, if another director made a movie like this, I would have to go deep into the director's heart, but it's not surprising that this was made by Woody Allen. After watching "Anything Goes", I laughed bitterly until I had nothing to say. Woody Allen prefers "accidents", he doesn't think life has to be, "anything goes" seems like the old man's motto.
It's not something that a film director uses to insinuate himself. Woody Allen's approach, a discerning person naturally understands that the old guy in the play is him. "Anything Goes" begins with Boris, a retired professor who was abandoned by his wife and attempted suicide. He lives alone and has a bad temper. He makes a living by teaching children in the community to play chess on weekends. How miserable you look! This should be a tragedy, but the dramatic thing is that this old guy is not shallow. One night, he found Melody, an innocent girl who had run away from Mississippi, on his doorstep. Meredy asked Boris to take her in. The reluctant Boris only agreed to let her stay for one night, but he did not expect that Meredy had great respect for his "genius IQ" and "philosophy of life", and was greatly in front of his friends of the same age. Add praise, and gradually Meredy falls in love with Boris. Boris, the old cow eating young grass, feels that life is "everything good". In this way, this pair of people with an age difference of more than 40 years decided to get married. It would be too boring if the story ended like this. Next, Meredy's mother, Mary, came to New York. She saw her daughter marry an old man and fainted on the spot. However, Woody Allen designed Meredy's mother as a somewhat comical figure, who spoke and behaved like a childish child. Mary first fell in love with Boris's friend Kevin, and then a friend of Kevin's, and the three surprisingly lived together. Overnight, Kevin turned Marie into an avant-garde photographer, which inspired Marie's artistic cells, and since then Marie has become even more laughable. Mary instigated her daughter to leave Boris and fall in love with someone else. At this time, Mary's husband John came to New York to find her. Of course, John could only get "a basin of cold water". Frustrated, John is sitting alone in a bar when a stranger approaches him, and inadvertently, John discovers that he is fit to be gay.
You should say, what a bizarre story. No, it's not over yet. Next, Meredy had another new love and left Boris. Boris committed suicide again, jumped out of the window and hit a passerby. In this way, Boris fell in love with the passerby again. All right, please laugh. At the end of the movie, these people who used to be together have their own new loves. On the New Year's Day night, everyone got together and had a good time and sang to the wine. The movie ends with a melodious and warm music. You would say, this is America. No, I'm telling you, this is Woody Allen! Have you encountered such a situation? A few friends chatted together, two or three people joked about one person and had fun. You watch it and you laugh too - I feel that way when I watch Woody Allen movies. The element in his movies is like having fun, I think it is his ability, but I often dislike his "making fun of others". This is good, he simply aimed at himself. He has the courage to make himself a prototype, create a new work, and has the courage to speak out about life, "anything is fine".
Well, so be it. After laughing, let's wish Mr. Woody Allen a happy life with his young wife.
