Very interesting movie. Rather than saying that the dialogue inside is too long, it is better to restore consciousness itself through this trivial feeling. Without realizing that Lucy and Jake were two sides of the same coin, I sensed a dialectical sense of self-talk in their conversation. The topics that this film wants to discuss are completely contained in the dialogue between the male and female protagonists: time, aging, family, pursuit, consciousness, thought, and even life. I think the world constructed by Jake is constructed by us all the time, and every lonely thinker lives in his own space to some extent, appreciated by himself, and entertained by himself. Gaozan's analysis describes Jake's constructed world as "idealized", but I agree with Lucy's statement that "ideas are closer to reality than actions, because ideas cannot be faked". Jake's world is a reflection of his true self, made up of his loneliness, love, anguish, and self-examination, closer to his true personality than his outward appearance. But who of us are not like that? I think that's why we need literature and movies.
