The growth brought by the film - "Why Home"

A movie that I want to watch when I hear the introduction, because I have always liked movies about social issues, which can make people reflect and think deeply.

However, the result was not as expected. I watched this movie and saw two major social problems:

(1) Reproductive cancer

Desire is a very scary thing. For families without identity, it is already a very serious thing to survive, let alone have children and raise children. Families without any economic foundation and lack of cultural awareness let go of their primitive desires for fertility, relying on children to act as labor or to sell goods to lighten the burden on the family, and only give birth but not raise them, which is extremely irresponsible for life. But the parents in the movie never seem to realize this problem, they keep saying that they can't do anything about it, that they have no identity like parasites, this is a problem of the environment, and it is a problem that the state needs to solve for them, but they blindly have children, The more you are born, the poorer you become, and the poorer you become, the less you can nurture and educate. This is your family's problem, and it has nothing to do with your identity. After all, having children cannot solve the problem of ID cards.

I'm extremely angry with the parents of the little male protagonist in the text, not only for having children, but also for their indifference and ignorance of family affection. When I married my daughter, I couldn't see any pity for my daughter at all. It was full of relief without a burden. In the end, I burst into tears in court because I couldn't help myself without an ID card. I was so angry that I thought about it. He threw the popcorn; his son wanted to go to school, but he was afraid of spending money, and he was afraid that his school would be delayed by labor to earn money, but he was lazy and smoked to make a living; he was indifferent to the eldest son who had committed a crime and was even glad that he could reduce a family ration; To get lucky with drugs and so on in front of the child, such parents, even if they give him an ID card and legal status, are still irresponsible. The black mother also has no identity certificate and has a child. Maybe this child was born out of indulgent desire, but she did her best to give love to the child under limited conditions. Although she was alone, she still tried to solve the problem of identity certificate. , Want to earn money to raise children, on the other hand, what qualifications do you have to be parents?

(2) Identity certificate

From the time when the young male protagonist's father took out a jar of arrest certificates and collapsed, I was paying attention to the film's explanation of this issue, but I didn't see it in the end. It is true that identification is very important for a person to survive in society. The parents of the young male lead have mentioned this issue countless times. Black mothers have also been arrested and imprisoned because of this issue. The war has made these refugees flee everywhere. I can only survive for the rest of my life, but the film does not mention how to deal with this problem. It is only revealed in the ending footage that the little male protagonist in real social life solved this problem because of international assistance, but what about the others? This little male protagonist solved the problem of survival because of his appearance in this movie. What about the tens of thousands of refugees in the real world? Since war is inevitable, who will solve the problem of refugees? The UNHCR or other international organizations never appeared in the film, only oppression and fraud. What about in real life?

Chilling.

After watching the movie, many people are talking about the issue of reproductive cancer, but shouldn't the refugee status certificate be the most exposed issue in the movie? If it is because of the issue of passing the trial, then the viewers will not be allowed to see such words in the film. Since it is mentioned that it is not the root cause of being able to give birth or not being raised according to the parents of the film, then it should not be so hasty, I think This is a failure of the movie. A lot of space is devoted to the issue of parents and children. Even if the little male protagonist awakens his consciousness and dares to sue his parents and succeeds, he still cannot solve the identity problem, and his parents will only suffer more. The film is adapted from real events, but in the real events, the parents of the little male protagonist love him very much, but the war made them refugees and lost their legal proof, so why distort the event itself?

All in all, if you only look at the perspective of family education, this is a good movie. It introduces deep thinking and makes us have to reflect on how to educate and get along? But from the perspective of a social issue film based on a true event, it didn't make a real impact. The title of the film is translated as "Why Home", this "home" should not only be the "home" of the family, but also the "home" of the country.

Not addicted, only silent.

  • Zain: I want to make a complaint against my parents. I'd want adults to listen to me. I want adults who can't raise kids not to have any. What will I remember? Violence, insults or beatings, hit with chains, pipes, or a belt? The kindest words I heard were get out son of a whore! Bug off, piece of garbage! Life is a pile of shit. Not worth more than my shoe. I live in hell here. I burn like rotting meat. Life is a bitch.I thought we'd become good people, loved by all. But God doesn't want that for us. He'd rather we be washrags for others. The child you're carrying will be like I am.

  • Zain: Life is the biggest injustice.
