"The Legend of the Bear" tells the story of the bears Kenai and Koda.
Kenai was originally a hunter, and he lives with his older brothers Stika and Denaki. After the Bar Mitzvah ceremony, Kenai found a basket of fish that had just been caught missing, and saw the back of a bear, and ran after him. While fighting with the bear, Stika gave her life to protect her two younger brothers. In order to avenge his brother, Kenai killed the bear that took his brother's life, but was included in the unique aurora of the North Pole and turned into a bear. Kenai saw that he had become a bear's body, and his mouth would only scream like a bear, feeling unprecedented fear.
Denaki thought that the bear Kenai had turned into killed his brother Kenai, and pursued Kenai. In order to avoid Denaki's pursuit, find the aurora that shoots directly at the earth, and change back to the appearance of a human, Kenai embarked on a long journey.
On the way, Kenai met Koda, a lively, cute, cheerful and kind bear. Koda and his mother are missing, but he believes that his mother is waiting for him in the salmon tide. He told Kenai that on the mountain opposite the salmon tide, the aurora could be seen in contact with the earth every night. Kenai and Koda head to the salmon tide. Along the way, they quarreled, relied on each other, overcame numerous obstacles, and cultivated brotherly friendship.
Finally reached the salmon tide. After listening to Koda's story, Kenai finally understood that Koda's mother was the bear who was killed by herself. Kenai climbed to the top of the mountain and came to the place where the aurora and the earth touched. In the aurora, he saw Stika and Koda's mother, and the bear and the bear understood each other and became a family. Kenai made a decision: He would never change back into a human being, and would always be Koda's brother.
When Kenai became a bear and faced the world with the identity of a bear, he changed his opinion and understood that animals have their own family and friends just like humans. Only then did he understand the meaning of love. Friends should care for each other and help each other. When quarrels occur, they should empathize and don't just think of themselves; animals are human friends and should live in harmony.
