Lies and Conspiracies of War

Our generation has not experienced war. Everything about the war, you and I are the same, it's all seen in movies and read in books. Movies can restore the scenes of war, and books can record the process of war, but we have never been able to get the real experience of war, and it is not clear what war means to us personally. Because we are just a bystander.

So what about a person who is in it? If this person is not a Spartan warrior, but a plain-headed commoner who did not want to be involved in the war, but got involved involuntarily, then, for him or her, what is the truth of the war?

The movie "Black Book" took more than two hours to tell such a story, a beautiful Jewish woman named Rachel, who wanted to escape the slaughter of Jews by the Nazis during World War II, and fled from the Netherlands to Belgium with her family. Ambushed by the Germans, her family was killed, and she was the only one who escaped and was taken in by the resistance. The head of the resistance asked her to go undercover, approach the German captain and become his lover. She accepted the task with no choice, and after that, a dizzying scene of thrilling stories followed, far beyond the storyline that a 2-hour movie could convey. In the process, the theme of the war gradually faded and evolved into a Hollywood-style movie feast composed of conspiracy, lies, love, money, revenge, family affection, and pursuit.

I watched this movie in Huacheng by myself tonight. When the cast list came out, I suddenly had a feeling of being fooled. All the previous concepts about war were peeled off in an instant. After bowing his head and pondering for a long time, he came to a conclusion: In fact, there is no difference between righteousness and evil in war, and there is no difference between the enemy and our side. If there is, it is only out of political needs and the perspective of bystanders. For everyone involved, war is just one lie and conspiracy one after another.

I noticed several important episodes: Rachel, the heroine, was forced into war because she had nothing but the flames of vengeance. Because of this, she has no fear of war and death; the leader of the resistance organization asked her to go undercover, close to the captain's real purpose, just to rescue his son; the German captain knew she was undercover, and still had an ambiguous relationship with her. Because the captain's family was also killed in the war, the emotional world was extremely empty; the rescue operation failed, and all those involved, except Hans, the second leader of the resistance organization, were all killed. Before the rescue operation, the son of the leader of the resistance organization had been beaten and confessed by the Nazis, and even his father was the leader of the resistance organization. After the defeat of the German army, it was transformed into a mistress of a British officer in order to survive. The biggest lie was revealed at the end of the film. It turned out that Hans and the Nazi lieutenant had already secretly conspired, under the guise of war, to plunder the rich Jewish people in private. Money carried out a series of killings and shamelessly betrayed Rachel. And the real murderer who killed Rachel's family was Hans, who was known as a fighting hero; it is very ironic that after the British army had taken over the Netherlands, the German captain who was the most "unwilling to see death caused by war", Under the acquiescence and under the eyes of the British army, they were executed by the German army...

This is the essence of war-everyone who lives in it, for their own ulterior purpose-life, money, sexual desire, hatred, so they will It is a huge conspiracy that is compiled and paved with countless lies. And the truth of the war is hidden in it, just like the name of the movie - "Black Book".

This movie was recommended by a friend some time ago. He said it was a European version of Lust, Caution. I originally watched it with some ulterior motive, but I didn't expect to see the seductive heroine after watching it. In addition to the carcass of the war, by the way, the private parts of the war are at a glance.
