The most obscure and esoteric of the revenge trilogy

Park Chan-wook's revenge trilogy is shocking and unique, but I personally feel that this film is the most obscure and profound in the trilogy, and I personally don't like it very much.
The film is like a religion, about redemption. Although the practice of the victim lynching the murderer is against the law, it is understandable, but why does Jin Zi preside over this event as an organizer? For self-salvation? Is she eligible? If Jin Zi had pleaded guilty and served the sentence because of her daughter's safety, why didn't she tell the police the truth and arrest the real murderer when her daughter was no longer in the hands of the murderer? That way, the rest of the children might be spared. Personally, I feel that Jin Zi's behavior is not worthy of sympathy, let alone advocated. Maybe my understanding of the film is not deep enough.
