god and fish

All bad things originate from vices, such as drug use, gambling. All good comes from believing in God.
This is probably what the director wanted to say. All of Nicholas' evil deeds are due to vices, so the results are getting worse and worse. Since his girlfriend became religious, some things are going in a good direction.
The director is religious!
The fish at the beginning is in a water glass, and a suicide man appears at the same time. The end is at the aquarium bar, a much larger water glass, two detox people, immersed in it. What is the dream of a fish? Or the expanse of water!
Welcome back Nicholas! This is much better than the Prophet of any scientific religion!

If you put aside the old version of "Bad Lieutenant", this work is not bad. We need to adjust our expectations and expectations for a director who used to be NB, and treat this movie as a brand new commercial movie, shot by a new director. A simple crime genre film, then this film is still watchable and doable.

It's a bit of a B-level production, but it has a lot of kinetic energy. The ending found it to be dark humor, funny and interesting, and Cage's performance didn't say much.
