Karen Brixen (pseudonym Isaac Danson) was born in 1885 to an aristocratic family on the Danish island of Zealand. He studied at the Copenhagen Academy of Art in his early years, and later studied painting in Paris and Rome. In 1914, she married her cousin and together they went to Kenya to run a coffee plantation. In 1921, the two divorced, and Brixen ran the farm alone, but later the farm went bankrupt due to the depression of the international coffee market. In 1931, Karen Blixon returned home.

During her sojourn in Kenya, she has started writing for Danish domestic publications. In 1934, she published her first work "The Tale of Seven Little Goths" under the pseudonym Isaac Danson, "Out of Africa" ​​in 1937, and in 1960 she wrote about life in Africa. "Green Grass". In addition, her major works include "Winter's Tale", "The Last Tale", "Road to Vengeance".

After "Out of Africa" ​​was published, it has been reprinted many times. It not only sold well in East Africa and English-speaking countries, but was also translated into many languages. The film of the same name adapted from "Out of Africa" ​​won seven Academy Awards in 1986. The concept of "I am what I own" embodied in it became popular in the 1980s. Cullen was once more textually influential than the films of the same name starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford as we know them. Hemingway is best known for accepting the Nobel Prize for Literature when he said: "I would be happier today if the beautiful Isaac Danson, the original author of Out of Africa, had won this prize."
