I've seen it before, but the second time I watched it, I noticed that the weak and erring heroine in this film was played by Cate Blanchett. Think maybe she embodies people's deep-seated desires, repressed for some reason, intended to unleash this eccentric desire by grasping at someone else's weakness. A good film may not reveal one level. The heroine played by cate is beautiful and outstanding, but she can be locked in by a mediocre family life. On the surface, she loves her husband, family and children, but she can't stand the temptation of a young student. It's easy to risk an affair with a 15-year-old student.
