"Perfect World" opens with two criminals escaping prison, in which a complete gangster breaks into a house at dawn, intending to rape a widow who lives with three children, but is raped by another gentlemanly accomplice. Butch messed up. In the end, their fight alarmed the neighbors, and the two of them had to kidnap the youngest boy Philip and go into exile together.
After the rogue's moody molesting Philip, Butch ends up with the accomplice in a cornfield. They had already thought of breaking up at the beginning of their escape, but in the end they said goodbye because of their hostages. Butch's father was a domestic abuser, and his mother died very early. Although he lacked discipline, his natural kindness did not degrade him, just like the gentle gangster Kijiro in "Kijiro's Summer". They took off their disguise in front of children and turned into a cute uncle.
If Philip's childhood became extremely dark under the strict discipline of his mother, then Butch was a touch of color in his childhood. He hadn't played Halloween trick-or-treating, hadn't celebrated any holidays, hadn't been to the playground, or even tasted marshmallows. And Butch, in the mood to make up for his childhood, let Philip sit on the top of the car and rush down the big slope to play, and took him to put on an elf costume to play "candy-trick-or-treat" after Halloween. As in "Kiujiro's Summer", in order to help Zhengnan find his mother, Kikujiro bullied all kinds of gangsters along the way just to make him happy.
Butch's world does not have a clear moral outlook like normal people. He only beats those who bully children and beat and scold their wives. Bullying may be the most hated thing for people like him, no one. During his last punishment of the "bad guy", Philip shot him, leading to his eventual arrest.
The most embarrassing thing at the end is that Butch's last wish before his death was for Philip's mother to promise to fulfill Philip's wish. Whether in the world of police or robbers, there is no such thing as a perfect world. In the movie "Perfect World", there is no bullying, perhaps the most perfect world.
Finally, let Clint tell us what to do when we get stuck.
