Dreams are an extension of reality, an unfinished subconscious mind. Perhaps things that cannot be accomplished in places where the body cannot go when dying can only be accomplished by dreams and subconsciousness. This explanation is completely acceptable. The shooting method is quite special. There are several scenes that are repeated like a cassette. It is incomprehensible after reading it once. It is easy to understand if it is interpreted as a repetition of blurred consciousness. But personally I don't like this type of film very much. It can't be said to be brain-burning, but it's a bit tricky.
