Different from ordinary albums, the singles of The Wall are not independent. They are coherent like a symphony. They are not suitable for listening to each song separately. Therefore, there are generally not many opportunities to listen to it, and I estimate that I have listened to it a dozen times over the past 20 years. The strange thing is that every time I listen to it, it gives me a shock. I can't say why, but I feel that my mood is as high and low as the tune of the record. I didn't know much about the background and various interpretations of the album. Although the Internet has become so developed now, all this is no longer as difficult as it was when I bought the album, because I think music, especially good music, may It means different things to different people, so I just want to appreciate and experience everything about this album by myself, and I don't want to be swayed by other people's opinions.
Until yesterday at the film festival, I watched the movie version of the wall, and when I looked at the big screen, I suddenly found that my feeling for that record disappeared completely, just like a boy who has been in love with a girl for many years in the long-awaited wedding room. Ye Shi suddenly lost his passion, and in the face of the incomparably gorgeous sensory enjoyment, he lost the hazy and expectation that he had always kept. The whole movie is gorgeous, it can be said to be the best MTV, but it is only an MTV after all, no matter how well the director performs, it is his own interpretation, not mine. So I really regret watching this movie.
