27 years old, unsuccessful career, Undateable.
There are several scenes that seem to be telling their own stories: when
a friend has a boyfriend and wants to leave F early, F accepts that he can't play a petty temper and insist that his friend didn't tell her by text message, when the friend tries to show her the text message, F refuses and leads to other topics.
F went back to his hometown to chat and laugh with his family happily. It seemed that everything was going well until the end of the holiday at the airport. F looked down on the escalator to see his parents and turned his head lonely.
F, who was living in a colleague's house, and his colleagues' friends met for dinner for the first time. When she was talking about her ideal relationship, almost everyone was embarrassed by her ignorance, but F seemed relieved.
Benji said: Frances, Undateable.
In the third scene above, I quietly wet my eyes. Because I really admire and sigh for such a helpless relief.
And someone really said to me once: You are definitely Undateable.
I saw another introduction before saying that this film is a film about friendship, and I feel bad. This is actually an unsuccessful and unremarkable segment about an ordinary person. It was as if the same ordinary me had completely found resonance, and my mind kept spinning: what should I do, what should I do, I am so old, I can't do anything, I can't even compare to F, I have never even had a boyfriend.
Frances is like a microcosm of himself, a dark shadow projected there while walking by the white wall, a true face secretly hiding under his character. Although the people around seemed to sneer, but, what should I do, this is the ordinary and unsuccessful me.
Besides the protagonist in the movie, he also likes Benji very much, and his lazy tone always wears F "27 is old." "Frances, undateable."
Thinking that he was also exposed in the form of a joke, he said, "You are absolutely incompetent in dating, which is really worrying." But, what should I do, this is the ordinary and unsuccessful me who can't date.
At the end of the film, it is a bit of a joy. F's career has begun to improve, he rented a new house, opened a new mailbox, and started the rest of his life. So many seemingly hard and absurd things come to an abrupt end here, and there is also a kind of Happy Ending, giving the worried audience a good explanation.
But the next life, after the age of 27, still has a long, long road.
Little people movies can always poke at the hidden corner of the audience's heart. The lines spoken by the leading actor, the inner monologue, and even the words of the supporting actors or passers-by can be empathized with the five bodies. I have seen many such films, and this film is of course classified into this category. But overall I really like this work, Francces Ha, she looks like herself no matter what.
