The script is so well written. cow. writer and director noah baumbach.
The climax of the script I think is that her best friend quarreled with her boyfriend and had nowhere to go. After staying in her dormitory (friend said she actually doesn't like life with her rich boyfriend now), she left without saying goodbye, and greta gerwig chased it out. When the building door was tearing up and calling the other party's name (she knew that her friend would have to compromise with life when she left); her friend was sitting in a taxi without looking back, she stood barefoot on the side of the road, and then she looked down at her own feet - here Before, the audience would only think it was ridiculous that she had no talent but had to pursue a dance career - so the camera was fixed on her feet: they were full of scars from years of dancing.
The whole script, I think, is the core of her comparison with her best friend: her friend has never lost her mind and always chooses to maximize the benefits (like us), while the protagonist has never given up on herself, even if she pays a huge price for her dream.
This script, well-designed yet natural, is really well written.
So how did noah baumbach reach his creative peak? I have an explanation:
this man's original wife is jennifer jason leigh (single white female), when he was filming greenberg, her wife was still playing a role in the film (obviously the relationship between the two was okay at that time) , the heroine of the film is the newcomer Greta Gerwig at the time.
The later story is that the director and this Greta became partners. Then there was the film frances ha where he returned to the peak - this film is tailor-made for the heroine of the silly big sister.
No wonder it is said that art creators have to be in love all the time, and work hard.
