About a year and a half ago, I won a Spanish contest, in which I spoke about the Latin American culture, representing it through the sea, Sea inside, sea inside, the sea has not only given birth to the creatures that live on this planet, but it has also devoured numerous castaways. By chance, Ramón's story unfolds from his encounter with the sea.
When he was young, Ramon used to travel around the world for free, taking advantage of being a sailor. China, Europe, Africa, in my imagination, he had seen the most beautiful landscapes in this world, he had experienced various romantic and delicate relationships. Sea voyages were full of encounters, farewells, sweets and melancholy. Despite everything, his bodily entity continued to support his spiritual entity, which gave him the confidence to continue living. But, one day, misfortune fell on him, when he jumped into the water, the waves came rolling over him like a prophet of his future. He fractured his neck, causing irreparable damage.
In his later life, Ramón was drowning in agony. However, his friends and family played a very important role in this period,
His sister-in-law took care of him like her own son, his brother did everything possible to stop his desire to commit suicide, his nephew helped him design and repair his creative machine...
The widow frequented his house, trying to give him courage, but in the end she was convinced to help him end his life in a small room whose window overlooked the sea.
The lawyer shared a similar pain with him, and even the two people fell in love, but in the end, it was this same lawyer who totally forgot about Ramón due to the genetic disease.
Life is beautiful, life was beautiful. If one is not capable of living in a dignified manner, at his own will, why do we live? So Ramón chose to end his life, because his spirit was so free and his body was so restricted .
