They just want to avenge the ordinary life

The recently popular "Three Old Gunsmen" is actually a remake of the original work of the same name directed by Martin Brest in 1979. Three retired workers who used to be law-abiding and good citizens, but their old age was so miserable - their pensions were all swallowed up, even the house was taken away by the bank, and they were suffering from uremia and had no money to see their granddaughter. So the desperate Joe, Yar, and Willie, three seventy-year-old old men, took a risk and robbed the bank that was robbing them of their money...
In the United States, the social security system is just a check by politicians to win over voters, especially social security for the elderly . In the original version, the three old men only grabbed a pitiful $30,000, and life after that was not all smooth sailing. The remake rewrites the original's tragic death in prison with a happy ending, which some would argue is a massive disruption to the story's layers and emotional presentation. When I watched it, I was also in a conflicted mood. I hoped that they would be caught, so that the film would add a touch of realism, but I didn’t want them to be caught, because the old people were really cute and pitiful. Similar to the plot of this movie is the Korean "Grandma Bandits", but its ending is full of realistic grimness and sadness.
In fact, the movie is always helping every one of us who is not so strong in our hearts in reality, trying our best to avoid those negative energies, darkness and ugliness; trying our best to absorb and approach all the beauty, hope and goodwill in life. Therefore, you don't have to be strong in your heart, but you must be sunny in your heart.
The three veteran actors in the film, Michael Caine (84), Morgan Freeman (79), and Alan Arkin (83), add up to a total of 246 years old, but they have performed this play in a cute way. Stupid joy. Is it really poverty that forced three old guys who were struggling to even walk to rob a bank? There are many poor people in the world, but very few rob banks. Many bank robbers are first and foremost bad people, and good people will not rob no matter how poor they are. The three cute old men in the film are undoubtedly good people, and they really can't live without robbing them. So what drove them to do such a big thing? I think this is their revenge and declaration of war on the mundane and unjust life. When Joe (Michael Caine) sees Milton (Christopher Lloyd, the Doctor from Back to the Future) with dementia, he says to the other two: I'll kill me if I do. Sure enough, Joe became the first person to make up his mind to vote. In the preparation stage of the robbery, the three old guys first stole the supermarket, came to the street to chase and flee, and then they robbed the bank with guns and drugs, and the passion that had been suppressed for many years was finally released.
Reminds me of Ridley Scott's famous road movie "The End of the Road". Selma (Gina Davis), a housewife living in a dull and trivial household, and her close friend Louise (Susan Sarandon), who works as a waitress in a cafe, have a relationship with ordinary life. After getting bored with work, go out to travel together. On the way, in a parking lot outside a bar, Selma was nearly raped by an unknown man. Fortunately, Louise arrived in time and shot the man with a gun. The panicked two have since embarked on a crazy road of escape. In fact, why did the two who could escape the crime in justifiable defense fled and killed all the way, because they had long thought that they would fight the ordinary life and the damned man.
In front of the cliff, the two of them smiled at each other, clasped their hands tightly, increased the accelerator, rolled up the yellow sand, and jumped up and down...
In "Bonnie and Clyde", Clyde tries to steal Bonnie's mother's car, but she gets caught, so she puts on a brave face. Bonnie immediately felt that Clyde could help her escape from this boring town. Then the two began to run away, robbing all the way, and finally both died under the random guns of the police. The final scene is a classic of violent aesthetics: a flock of pigeons soars up the treetops, and the two are enjoying the beauty of the moment. The informer suddenly got under the car. The hero and heroine glanced at the bushes, knowing that the situation was over. The two looked at each other, and the male protagonist hurried to the car, but at this time the guns had started. In slow motion, the two were beaten into a beehive. There are many elements in this that are repeatedly borrowed from future films.
Note that the title of the film has Bonnie in the front and Clyde in the back. It was Bonnie who was tired of the mundane life, not Clyde. Bonnie seizes an unexpected opportunity and embarks on a journey of revenge.
The ending of these two films is not as happy as "The Three Old Gunmen". The escape of the three robbers at the end shows the director's approval of this kind of revenge and declaration of war, but in fact we know that the robbers have no good end. .
Most of us in our lives endure and compromise, and few really go to war with mediocrity. But maybe watching a movie is a good solution, who knows? Maybe there are many ways to get revenge!
