relaxed and romantic

Well, since I mentioned the concept of time and space, I am reminded of this film I watched earlier.
Relaxed and romantic, perfect for a date.
Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman's pairing is very special - the collision of modern and classical love, exudes a pleasant atmosphere.
Is it because of a more nostalgic relationship, I always prefer classical love, maybe it is better to meet the sadness of nostalgia for a longer time. It's just a happy trip like a date, let's watch a story with a perfect ending~
(Hugh Jackman is really suitable for such an elegant gentleman role, compared to Wolverine and his acting skills in "The Magician" Lots of likes~)

The brief introduction is very attractive to me, I really like this kind of movie!

There were many actresses in the same period but only Meg was abandoned by the times. After watching a few of her movies, I suddenly realized that her performance is the same and the closer you look at it, the more recent it is, it is just like the pseudo-tomboy shape of short hair, wide-leg pants and short hair in several of her movies, which cannot stand the test of time. In contrast, Hugh Jackman's performance is much better, and you can never see the shadow of Wolverine.

Kate & Leopold quotes

  • [Talking on the phone]

    Stuart: Are you sitting down?

    Kate: [standing] Yes.

    Stuart: No, you're not.

    Kate: Yes, I am.

    Stuart: No, you're not.

    Kate: Ye...

[Kate sits down in chair with a thud]

    Kate: Okay.

    Stuart: I found it.

    Kate: What did you find?

Stuart: The portal. A crack in the fabric of time. It was over the East River, Kate, just where I said it would be.

    Kate: You found the portal?

Stuart: A portal into April 28th, 1876. I jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge and took a walk in 1876 today. I followed the Duke of Albany around old New York. Are you listening?

    Kate: Avidly.

Stuart: This here's the twist, Kate. Here's the kicker.

    Kate: What's the kicker?

Stuart: [whispering] He followed me home.

  • Kate: Why are you standing?

Leopold: I am accustomed to stand when a lady leaves the table.
