A good movie but hardly a classic

The first time I saw this movie was at the beginning of 2017, during the Spring Festival, when my heart was fluctuating, I gave up halfway through it. After watching it again, it was a year later, and this movie is the first movie I watched in the new year. It also counts a debt that has not been completed in 17 years.

The director of this film is the famous Spielberg, the four major directors of the New Hollywood period, "Saving Private Ryan", "Schindler's List", "Jurassic Park" and a series of well-known Hollywood blockbusters. Director, anyone who talks about film history will definitely be unable to get around this mountain. Aiwu and Wu have been full of expectations for this film directed by Spielberg himself.

The beginning stage is more attractive. Sophie, the little girl in the orphanage, on a dark and gloomy night, was kidnapped by the giant because she happened to see the giant who haunted the city late at night and blew dreams for the sleeping people. In the kingdom of giants, I have seen many wonderful things that are different from ordinary people. If this is put in a normal movie, it is a story of an old man and a little girl, mutual warmth and mutual redemption, but the director put on him the romantic coat of a fairy tale, and instantly looks much more beautiful and gorgeous, at least on the surface Look like this.

All of this is due to the realistic, beautiful and shocking special effects in the movie. From the bottom of my heart, there is nothing wrong with the pictures of this movie. Almost every frame, close-up of every character, every detail on the body The performance of a detail can almost reach the extreme. If nothing else, just appreciating the imaginative and magnificent scenery will make you deeply intoxicated, and you will never regret spending time watching such a movie in vain. .

The narrative of the movie inherits the thick-line narrative of Spielberg's Jurassic Park movies, with a complete story frame, clues, and character conflicts, but the overall approach is not very detailed. The plot changes in the movie are compared with the emotional changes of the characters. Hasty, not full of emotions. Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing dramas, and I can't accept such a thick-line narrative. If I can have a subtle narrative like "Schindler's List", it may improve my evaluation of this film. Compared with other films such as "Zootopia", the rhythm of the film is not compact enough, lacks the necessary breaking points, and the whole film looks a little dull. At this point, it is not unreasonable that I chose to give up the drama in the first place. But if you look at it as an excellent commercial film, it will definitely kill a lot of domestic special effects movies, and it will have a beneficial effect on your aesthetic ability and imagination.

Overall, my review of this movie is: a good movie, but hardly a classic. Just hope it doesn't get forgotten so soon!
